The Youghiogheny River is part of a 132-mile tributary of the Monongahela River. Due to the Flood Control Act of 1938, a dam was completed in 1943 to help prevent flooding. The completion of the dam created the Youghiogheny River Lake upstream from Confluence, Pennsylvania. Some of the activities around the lake are boating, whitewater rafting, fishing, hiking, biking and picnic areas. Recently, the United States Army Corps of Engineers requested an RCP shelter for their Spillway Recreation area. The size of the Laminated Wood Gable is 24 feet by 36 feet with a roof pitch of 3:12. Some of the other features are the wood columns, pitch and tapered beams and a shingled roof. This LW-G2436-03 is one of our standard size shelters and can be easily engineered to specific locations. Please check out our Laminated Wood product page for more examples.
